Day 1 - Arrival in Athens
Arrival and transfer to you hotel in Athens.
Day 2 - Athens City Tour (B- L)
After breakfast, depart on a half day morning tour of Athens which
includes a visit to the Acropolis, its museum and the Parthenon. Also
view the House of Parliament, Memorial to the Unknown Soldier,
National Library, Evzones in their picturesque uniform, Presidential
Palace, the Panatheanic Stadium (where the first Olympic Games of
the modern era were held in 1896), Temple of the Olympian Zeus
and Hadrian's Arch. After the morning tour, the afternoon is at
leisure for you to further explore Athens on your own. (Optional
afternoon tour to Cape Sounion to visit the Temple of Poseidon.) Overnight in Athens.
Day 3 - Delphi (B)
Leave Athens for Delphi via Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque
village of Arachova, on the slopes of Mount Parnassus. Arrive in Delphi and visit the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios (Treasury of the Athenians, Temple of Apollo, etc.) and the Museum. Overnight in Delphi.
Day 4 - Kalambaka (B - D)
Morning free at leisure during which you can do some more exploring
on your own until departure from Delphi for an interesting trip through
Central Greece and the town of Lamia to Kalambaka. Dinner at hotel and overnight in Kalambaka.
Day 5 - Meteora (B - L)
Visit Meteora ,among striking scenery, perched on top of huge rocks which seem to be suspended in mid-air, stand ageless Monasteries, where you can see exquisite speciments of Byzantine Art.Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae ( visit the Leonida's monument). Arrive in Athens early in the evening.
For visit of the Monastery ladies need to wear a skirt, gentlemen long trousers.
Day 6 -Flight from Athens to Rhodes(B)
We will transfer you to airport early in the morning. 09:00 am flight from Athens to Rhodes Island. Arrival in Rhodes around 10:00 am. On arrival, transfer to your hotel with afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Rhodes.
Day 7 - Day of Leisure - Rhodes (B)
Free day at leisure to relax on one of the many different beaches of Rhodes. Overnight in Rhodes.
Day 8 - Rhodes to Marmaris / Turkey(B - D)
Breakfast, check out and meet for transfer to the port and depart
on the morning ferry crossing from Rhodes to Marmaris in Turkey.
On arrival you will be met at the port and provided with bus tickets
for the journey from Marmaris to Kusadasi. (Free time in Marmaris
before the bus departure can be arranged if you require.)
Overnight in Kusadasi.
Day 9 - Ephesus Tour (B-L-D)
Depart from your hotel on a full day tour visiting Ephesus, the best
preserved Greco-Roman City in the world. Here you see the Agora,
Odeon, Curetes Street, Celsius Library, famous Roman Baths, the
Grand Theatre and Marble Street. After lunch, depart for the House
of Virgin Mary where she is said to have spent the last of her days.
It is a pilgrimage site for many people of all different denominations.
The tour also includes a visit to the remains of Artemis Temple. The
days tour ends with transfer back to hotel and evening at leisure.
Overnight in Kusadasi.
Day 10 - Pamukkale / Hierapolis Tour (B-L)
After breakfast and check out, we depart to Pamukkale where we
will visit the natural formation of the travertens, "Cotton Cliffs", and
the ruins of Hierapolis. At the end of the tour, transfer to Kusadasi
Bus Station for the overnight intercity bus to Cappadocia.
Overnight onboard bus. (10 hrs)
Day 11 - North Part Cappadocia Tour (B-L)
Meet at the bus station on your arrival and transfer to the hotel for
a short rest. Then depart on a full days tour to visit Devrent Valley
and Monk's valley (Pasabagi) where you will find the world famous
fairy chimneys. Break for lunch in Avanos then on to Goreme Open
Air Museum to explore the numerous churches and monasteries with
their frescoes. These churches & monasteries where carved from
the soft volcanic stone and decorated by Medieval Orthodox
Christian Monks around 1000-1200AD. A visit to Ortahisar Natural
Rock Castle for panoramic views. After tour the evening is at leisure.
Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 12 - South Part Cappadocia Tour (B-L)
Depart from your hotel to visit Red valley,and explore the famous rock- cut churches and hike 5 km through the Güllüdere valley. Then visit Çavuşin village.This village is famous for the houses and churches of the christian clegymen.After lunch Drive to the pigeon valley . In the afternoon visit Kaymaklı underground city. Where early christians lived in fear and faith. On the way back visit the natural castles at Ortahisar.At end of tour, collect luggage from hotel and transfer on to the
airport for an evening flight to Istanbul. Arrival in Istanbul airport, pick up and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 13 - Flight to Istanbul(B)
Today after breakfast, we will transfer you to Kayseri airport. Flight back to Istanbul. Arrive in Istanbul, pick up and transfer to the hotel. Free day in Istanbul and overnight.
Day 14 - Istanbul Classics Tour(B-L)
After breakfast, 08:30 am depart on a full day tour to visit some
of the most important historical sights of Istanbul including the Blue
Mosque, St Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Hippodrome and Obelisk, Grand
Bazaar and Suleymaniye Mosque. After the tour, return to the hotel
and evening at leisure. Overnight in Istanbul
Day 15 - Free Day in Istanbul (B)
A full free day at leisure (or optional full day Bosphorous Cruise with visits to the Spice Bazaar and Dolmabahce Palace). Overnight in Istanbul
Day 16 - Free Day in Istanbul (B)
A full free day at leisure. Overnight in Istanbul
Day 17 - Flight back home (B)
After breakfast we will transfer you to Istanbul international airport. Goodbye! |
